FAQs
OpenApp Desktop helps you create and iterate on React Native and Expo apps locally. You describe what you want, use your own AI provider, preview the result, and keep the generated project files on your computer. OpenApp does not include managed AI usage or publish your app to the stores for you.
Launch access includes the desktop features in the current release, early access, and a direct channel for feedback. OpenApp generates React Native and Expo projects; app store approval and external publishing services are outside the product.
OpenApp Desktop runs on macOS and supports Android builds. iOS builds are not supported. Expo accounts, app store accounts, publishing fees, and other external services are separate.
The license includes updates for the beta and the 1.x series. Cloud services are excluded.
When you generate, OpenApp sends your prompt and the project context needed for that request to the AI provider you selected. We collect basic generation data to operate and improve OpenApp; we never collect your generated code or project files. The provider's privacy and retention policies apply.
Your generated project files stay on your computer. Your OpenApp license controls access to the desktop app; it does not transfer ownership of your code or project files.
Launch access costs $12.99 as a one-time payment. There is no subscription.
After purchase, your license key is shown on the confirmation screen and sent to your purchase email. Enter the key and that email in OpenApp to activate the app on your device.
One active device at a time. A license is for one person and is not a shared key. Deactivate the previous device from the app's device settings before activating a replacement.
Deactivate the old device from its device settings, then activate the replacement with your license key and purchase email. If you lose access to that email, contact support with your order details.
Check your purchase email first. If you still cannot find it, contact support with your order details. A license key by itself is not enough to transfer ownership.
No. OpenApp requires an internet connection for its generation workflow and AI provider requests.
You can request a refund within 14 days of purchase by contacting support with your order details. AI usage charged by your provider is separate.
